The Role
The Senior Product Manager will own the vision, roadmap, and evolution of Mighty’s marketplace product. This person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, defining features, gathering requirements, and working closely with engineering and IT to deliver product improvements that create real value for members, partners, and advertisers.
This is a hands-on, early-stage product role. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a doer; someone who can operate with ambiguity, talk directly to stakeholders, and translate ideas into clear, prioritized product work.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Product Vision & Strategy
· Define and evolve the product vision for Mighty’s marketplace in alignment with business goals.
· Identify opportunities to improve member experience, partner engagement, and marketplace performance.
· Balance short-term wins with long-term product direction.
Roadmap Ownership
· Own and maintain the product roadmap, including feature prioritization and sequencing.
· Make tradeoffs based on impact, effort, and business value.
· Ensure roadmap commitments are realistic and aligned with delivery capacity.
Requirements & Discovery
· Gather requirements from internal teams (sales, marketing, operations, partnerships) and external stakeholders.
· Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Validate ideas through research, feedback, and data - not assumptions.
Delivery & Execution
· Partner closely with Engineering and IT to deliver features end-to-end.
· Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination.
· Ensure features are usable, scalable, and supportable once launched.
Stakeholder Collaboration
· Act as the voice of the user andthe business in product decisions.
· Communicate product plans, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
· Support partner-facing conversations where product decisions impact external users.
What We're Looking For (Qualifications)
Required
· 5–8+ years of experience in Product Management,ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
· Experience owning a customer-facing product ormarketplace.
· Strong ability to translate ambiguity intoclear plans and priorities.
· Excellent communication skills - able toexplain product decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
· Comfort operating without a large productorganization or heavy process.
Preferred
· Experience building products or services forsmall business users, independent operators, or prosumers.
· Background in consumer-facing products, whereusability, trust, and adoption matter.
· Experience working on or alongside advertising,monetization, or demand-generation solutions.
· Exposure to or hands-on experience withAI-enabled product features or applications (e.g., recommendations, automation,insights, workflows).
· Experience with marketplaces, membershipplatforms, or B2B2C products.
· Experience working directly with engineeringteams in agile environments.
